What is the Tobacco Beetle

The tobacco beetle is a tiny little bug (about the size of a large grain of sand) that can infest tobacco. Often you will not see the actual beetle, however, there are two signs that you have been infested. The first sign, is that you will notice that tiny holes have been bored through the cigars. The holes are about the same size as the end of a paperclip. The second sign is a small piles of charcoal coloured sand in the humidor. Yes, this is beetle excrement! It will also be inside the cigar as well, and if smoked, will ltaste harsh and bitter.
